Terms and Conditions
These terms set out how this website may be used and how our services are provided. Please read them before requesting a quotation or instructing work.
Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using this website, submitting a form, or instructing Better House Space to carry out work, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the site or engage our services. Where a separate written agreement, quotation or contract has been signed for a project, that document applies in addition to these terms and where there is any conflict, the signed document takes precedence.

Use of this website
This website and its content are provided for general information about our business and services. You agree to use the site lawfully and not to attempt to interfere with its operation, misuse any forms, submit false enquiries, or copy, scrape or republish content in a way that suggests it is your own or that misrepresents your relationship with us.
Information on this website
We take care to describe our services accurately, but website content is general and cannot account for the specific condition of any individual property. Guidance in blog articles, service descriptions or answers to common questions is provided for information only and is not a substitute for a survey, a professional assessment or a written quotation. Always seek advice about your own property before beginning work.
Enquiries and consultations
Submitting a form or requesting a consultation does not create a contract to carry out work. A contract begins only when both parties agree a written scope and quotation and you instruct us to proceed. Initial conversations, quotations and site visits are provided in good faith and without charge unless we tell you in advance that a specific service, such as a detailed design package or specialist survey, carries a fee.
Quotations, scope and pricing
Quotations are prepared from the information available at the time, including what is visible during a survey. They remain valid for the period stated in the document. If unknown conditions are discovered once work begins — such as hidden damp, unsafe wiring, structural defects, or materials that differ from what was anticipated — we will stop, explain the situation, and agree any variation with you in writing before continuing. Verbal estimates are given as a rough guide only and are not binding.
Your responsibilities
To allow us to work safely and efficiently, you agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the property and the areas being worked on; to make us aware of anything that may affect the work, including known hazards, service locations, restrictions on the building and matters relating to shared boundaries; to obtain any permission required from a landlord, a management company, a co-owner or a local authority; and to remove or protect valuables, fragile items and irreplaceable belongings from the working area. Where permission is required for alterations and is not obtained, work may need to be paused, and any resulting delay or cost may be chargeable.
Scheduling and access
We will agree a schedule with you and will tell you if anything changes. Dates can be affected by weather, by the availability of specialist trades or materials, and by circumstances outside our control. Where a delay occurs, we will communicate it promptly and re-plan the work with you. If we are unable to gain access on an agreed date, we may need to reschedule, and repeated failed access may result in reasonable costs being passed on.
Payments
Payment arrangements, including any deposit, staged payments and the timing of the final balance, are set out in the written quotation or contract for your project. Where a payment schedule has been agreed, we ask that staged payments are made as each stage is completed, so that materials and labour can continue without interruption. Details of accepted payment methods and any applicable terms are confirmed in writing before work starts.
Workmanship warranty
We stand behind the workmanship we carry out, and the cover we provide is described in the warranty documentation given to you at handover. Products and materials supplied carry the manufacturer's cover, which we pass on to you wherever possible. Warranty cover is conditional on normal use and reasonable maintenance, including any care instructions provided at handover, and does not extend to damage caused by others, by neglect, by accident or by alterations made after our work was completed.
Cancellations and changes
You may cancel or reschedule work by contacting us as soon as possible. Where materials have already been ordered, or trades have been booked for your dates, reasonable costs already incurred may be payable. Any right you have to cancel within a set period under consumer protection law where you live remains unaffected by this section.
Intellectual property
All content on this website, including text, layout, graphics, illustrations and photography, belongs to Better House Space or is used with permission, and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view and print pages for your own personal reference. You may not reproduce, distribute or use our content commercially without our written consent. Design proposals and drawings prepared for your project remain our intellectual property unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Third-party products and links
Where we recommend or supply third-party products, we do so in good faith based on their suitability for the agreed scope. Manufacturer guarantees, warranties and support are provided by those third parties. This website may contain links to other sites for convenience; we do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.
Limitation of liability
We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, our liability in connection with any project is limited to the value of the work carried out under the relevant quotation or contract, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as loss of income, loss of opportunity or loss of anticipated savings. Nothing on this website constitutes professional legal, structural, financial or engineering advice, and any financing or loan guidance we provide is general information rather than regulated financial advice.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end our services if these terms are materially breached, if payment terms are not met, if we are asked to work in unsafe or unlawful conditions, or if circumstances arise that make it unsafe or unreasonable to continue. Where work stops for these reasons, we will account for work completed and materials supplied up to that point.
Electronic communications and forms
Enquiries submitted through this website are validated and confirmed in your browser so you can see that your details were accepted. A submission does not by itself constitute a binding contract, an order or a guarantee of service availability. Sensitive documents should always be confirmed with us directly rather than being sent through a web form.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable at our place of business, and any dispute arising from them will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts that apply there, unless mandatory consumer protection rules in your own location provide otherwise. Before formal steps are taken, we ask that you contact us first so we have a fair opportunity to resolve the matter directly.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions occasionally to reflect changes in our services, our processes or the law. The version published on this page is the version that applies. Continued use of the website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
